Amanda joined CareerQuest in November 2009 and has had the opportunity to gain experience in many facets of the company. During her first year at CareerQuest, Amanda worked as a computer instructor, was promoted to Senior Academic Instructor and assisted with report-writing and various activities within the employment services department before taking on the role of Employment Services Coordinator.
Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, with a major in English Language and Literature and a minor in music with a vocal specialization. She has also completed her Teaching Certificate for Adult Education. Shortly after graduating, Amanda began working for a community-based organization in the Niagara region that focused on adult learning, life skills, and employment readiness. She worked primarily with clients referred from Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program who participated in programs including Literacy & Basic Skills upgrading, computer skills training, college preparation, life skills workshops, job search training, and employment readiness. Amanda also worked as a supply instructor at Niagara College, facilitating Literacy & Basic Skills Upgrading as well as Academic & Career Entrance programs.
Amanda is excited to continue growing within CareerQuest and expand her personal and professional experience in her role as Employment Services Coordinator.
Patricia joined CareerQuest as its Human Resources Coordinator in November 2010 and is responsible for managing recruitment and retention, creating and maintaining policies and procedures, and is involved in a number of initiatives related to human relations and business development.
Before joining CareerQuest, Patricia was involved in Human Resources in a number of different capacities since 2009. Prior to changing her career to Human Resources, she held different administrative support roles.
Patricia holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from Sheridan College and the Assistant Business Coach designation from the Dale Carnegie Business Group.
Nat joined CareerQuest in October 2010 as its first International Marketing Manager. She has been actively recruiting students and professionals from many countries including Japan, Korea and Mexico. Her clients are seeking to learn English in Canada while earning valuable Canadian work experience. Prior to joining CareerQuest, Nat worked as a Marketing Manager and Educational Counsellor in Toronto, Canada and taught English at a leading language school in Osaka, Japan. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Konan University in Kobe, Japan and spent her third year at the University of Victoria, B.C. as an exchange student. After graduation, she was granted a scholarship to study in Florida, U.S.A. by the Rotary Foundation.
